Igala
Nigeria
The Igala live in the Benue area of Nigeria near the end of the Niger River. They live amongst other tribes and share many social and artistic traditions and are thought to have common ancestors with their neighboring tribes known as the
Akpoko
people. Traditionally, they principally made their money by acting as trade intermediaries between the inland people and the people who inhabit the Niger River Delta.
